what is teen activism?
Have you ever heard of a teen who changed the world? Or someone being targeted for their opinion? Or even a youth child killed for trying to make a difference in the world? These are what teen activists do. An activist is a person who campaigns for some kind of social change. Some activists start a cause based on their own personal experiences, yet others rally for a cause in support of someone else’s experiences- some activists have even died for their cause.
Why is Teen Activism important?
Teen Activism is important because it really shows that everyone has a voice; activists can change the world by solving a big problem like bullying or environmentally problems. Activists can introduce big problems that we have never solved, such as child hunger, homelessness, and education. Once a foundation or cause is started, an activist works to get more people to agree with them by using resources to spread their ideas. Malala for example, has had such an impact on America and so many other countries - when she was shot, so many people cared. As a result, many people have donated to her foundation. The Malala fund raised 3 million dollars in just two months; she has raised more than 10 million dollars to her fund. This shows that her foundation is one that cannot be stopped.

She later went to Guatemala with the Girl Up foundation and. There is also Anna Leach she too has a foundation for Children’s Education. Her foundation is called, Pencil Mountain. She had came up with her idea because of a friend, she had met a friend from out of town and wanted to stay in touch like as a pen pal but, her friend couldn't because she had no pencils and didn't know how to write. When Anna heard this she wanted to make an immediate fix, so she started Pencil Mountain this helps children get an education and the materials needed to go to school.
